Wood plastic composite extrusion line is a production system used to manufacture WPC profiles, which are hybrid materials made of wood fibers or flour and thermoplastics (such as PE, PP, or PVC). 1. Raw Material Handling System
Drying System: Removes moisture from wood flour to prevent defects.
Mixing & Feeding Unit: Blends wood fibers, plastic, and additives (coupling agents, lubricants, colorants) before extrusion.
2. Plastic Extruder (Twin-Screw or Single-Screw)
Twin-Screw Extruder (Co-Rotating): More common for WPC due to better mixing and higher output.
Single-Screw Extruder: Simpler but less efficient for high-wood-content composites.
3. Die & Molding System
Profile Molding Die: Shapes the molten WPC into the desired cross-section (decking, railing, etc.).
Vacuum Calibration & Cooling Unit: Ensures dimensional accuracy and rapid cooling.
4. Haul-Off Unit
Maintains consistent speed to avoid warping or deformation.
5. Cutting & Stacking System
Automatic Saw: Cuts profiles to desired lengths.
Stacking or Packing System: Prepares finished products for shipment.
6. Auxiliary Systems
Degassing System: Removes volatiles during extrusion.
Surface Treatment (Optional): Texturing, embossing, or coating for enhanced aesthetics.
